Course Description:  Open for all people who climb trees

As we care for trees, we also need to care for our tribe. Performing an aerial rescue is not something you want to learn on the job. Most businesses don’t have the time nor the opportunity to train on the clock. This class is designed to create the necessary building blocks for real world scenarios before you encounter an emergency. Each person will have the opportunity to perform and assist in aerial rescue scenario.  This is a small class, designed to allow for climbers to have more hands-on practice.

*Climbing experience necessary (must be able to ascend and descend, and tie your own systems)

Gear Rental Available: $50/pp

AGENDA

8:30 - 9:00       Registration

9:00 - 10:00    Meet and Greet, ANSI Standards, Know Your Team’s Gear

10:00 - Noon   Site Safety & Job Briefing, Basic Protocols, Utilizing the TCIA AR Flow Chart (Tree Biology, Level 2 Tree Risk identification)

Noon - 12:30   Lunch (on your own)

12:30 - 4:00     Practice Scenarios

4:00 - 4:30       Gear Clean Up, Wrap Up & CEU’s

Additional:  TCIA Credits Requested, ISA & MCA Credits secured.
